This spring in Stuttgart, Germany there traditionally held Nikon Resellers Meeting where official resellers from Russia and the CIS took part. Sovtest ATE was among the participants.

As usual at the event there were discussed resellers’ achievements within the year, market trends, the visitors reviewed new products and set goals for next year. Special attention was paid to new equipment and technical solutions.

During the meeting a new direction of Nikon development was unveiled. Digital Quality 4.0. is development of Industry 4.0 concept based on idea to get back industry from Asia to Europe. To achieve it is possible by means of increasing of flexibility and manufacturing performance and thus increasing products quality as well. Quality 4.0 is to replace today’s quality control system and become a unique system integrated in manufacturing process.

From the perspective of Nikon, the key direction of quality control automation is non-contact inspection and metrology and Sovtest ATE domain of competence includes solutions in the sphere of automated computed tomography (CT) and video measuring technology and these methods are widely used in Sovtest NDT Center in Kursk.

Nikon has already put its ideas into practice. For example, there were showed several items of equipment, such as:
  • video measuring system for MEMS wafer control Nexiv VMR-Z 120x with integrated wafer feeder NWL200
  • automated CT system (both with manipulation robot an without) for electrical connection.
The given solutions have been already using by such manufacturers as Honeywell and TE Connectivity.
The most interesting Nikon developments were featured at «Control 2018» exhibition that opened next day after Resellers Meeting in Stuttgart on April, 24th.The new at the company booth were the latest version of software for XT V and XT H X-Ray systems, video measuring system Nexiv VMZ-L120, solution developed in cooperation with Nikon strategic partner – microscope Inspectis U10.
