Digital weather stations production have been launched in Kurks

«Sovtest ATE » produced the industrial models of digital weather stations at its manufacture in Kursk. These products open a new line of digital products.

The relevance of this direction is confirmed by the fact that modern world food systems are entering a fundamentally new stage of technological development, which was called "Agriculture 4.0." and it is based on the implementation of “smart” solutions (“precision farming”, robotics, “Internet of things” and other digital technologies). Due to the development of the digital economy in Russia, it is planned to systematically develop the domestic market for digital weather stations, with further export for the CIS. At the same time, the issue of certification of equipment and the inclusion of measuring instruments in the State Register will be phased.

A digital weather station provides such types of services as a wind speed and direction monitoring, precipitation (rain, snow) monitoring, the current temperature, air humidity and atmospheric pressure determining, it displays the level of solar radiation, fixes temperature and soil moisture, indicates leaf moisture. The main advantage of this equipment is that it shows the current meteorological situation in the area where it is installed.

Computer models of disease appearing risk prediction rest on accurate weather data. They include rules and algorithms resulted from a numerous field experiments and scientific researches. Meanwhile, these rules and algorithms take into account the meteorological parameters listed above.

The most important factors for building an accurate system and schedule of fertilizing are rainfalls, soil moisture and soil temperature. As a result of data processing, the system answers the questions: “How much?” and “When to fertilize?”, moreover it considers the requirements on crop yield and grain quality, with the lowest cost of nitrogen fertilizers, also it helps to build digital field maps. The need for irrigation of a particular land plot is determined in real time drawing on information about soil moisture.

All of the listed capabilities of weather stations can be successfully applied in the fields of:

  • agriculture (information on the actual amount of precipitation, solar activity in the fields, etc.);
  • transport safety (forecast of ice formation on roads, snow drifts, etc.);
  • uninterrupted power supply of production facilities and settlements (forecast of the formation of ice load on the power transmission lines, etc.);
  • monitoring the current weather conditions in private households and gardening partnerships;
  • indication of meteorological parameters in the Smart Home systems.

Each weather station is equipped with a solar battery and a battery, which allows them to work autonomously within 24 hours. The owner can quickly receive information about the measurements taken through the mobile app at any time and in any place where he can connect his smartphone or tablet to the Internet.

Nowadays the frequency of global climate changes increases, which leads to abnormal weather events in our country. Therefore, it becomes relevant to monitor important sites’ weather voonditions, in order to predict natural disasters and prevent possible negative consequences from their impact. An indispensable tool for this is the digital weather stations, which allows you to track all meteorological changes at the monitoring object online and provides their owners with a personal updated forecast for the next few days. Thus, the use of weather stations can significantly increase the level of security in various areas of our lives.
